Otorhinolaryngology
GVM Otolaryngology Operating Units take care of patients with anatomo-morphological problems concerning the nose, ear, neck, and throat.
Head and neck oncological surgery
This unit treats patients with malignant tumour pathology of the ear, nose and paranasal sinuses, oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, salivary glands, thyroid gland and lymph nodes in the neck, with demolition surgery and, where necessary, reconstructive surgery techniques with flaps.
Laser surgery of the larynx and oral cavity
All benign and malignant pathologies of the vocal cords and larynx susceptible to such treatment, as well as precancerous (leukoplakias, erythroleukoplakias, papillomas, etc.) and benign lesions of the mouth and pharynx are treated with the CO2 laser endoscopic suspension technique. The advantages of CO2 laser treatment are related to the possibility of performing an extremely precise cut, without blood loss, with a short hospital stay and faster and less painful healing.
Endoscopic and morpho-functional nose surgery
The most common pathologies of the paranasal sinuses and nose (sinusitis, polyposis, inverted papilloma, benign and malignant tumours) are treated using endoscopic and microdebrider techniques. The endoscopic technique is now considered indispensable in order to achieve an adequate radical and functional result.
Neck surgery (salivary glands, thyroid, lymph nodes, cysts)
We treat, all benign and malignant pathologies affecting the salivary glands, thyroid gland and neck (cysts, lipomas etc.), using the most modern technologies (Ligasure, MI FUSION Technology, Radiofrequency).
Sleep Clinic
A sleep medicine centre - or Sleep Clinic - is a multifunctional facility in which the main disorders affecting sleep that can, over time, lead to serious health problems are treated. A team of specialists - including a neurologist, otolaryngologist, dentist, pulmonologist, through to a psychologist - through targeted diagnostic examinations, can establish the diagnosis and identify the type of problem affecting the patient.
